Smiley Walk Christmas Boat Tour 2026 🎄🚢
Hey guys, JE here — Japan Explorer. And this Christmas, we’re doing something a little different. Instead of just walking around Tokyo looking at Christmas lights… we’re actually going to celebrate Christmas on a boat. Yeah. A real Christmas party cruising through Tokyo at night. This is the Smiley Walk Christmas Boat Tour 2026.

Starting in Asakusa
We’ll meet at 5:00 PM in front of Asakusa Station, Ginza Line Exit 4, basically right in front of Burger King. So it’s very easy to find. From here, everybody can meet each other first, say hello, and then we’ll walk together to the boarding area. And once we get on the boat… the party starts. The whole tour is about four hours, from 5 PM until 9 PM.Cruising Through Tokyo at Night
One of the things I love about Tokyo is how completely different the city looks from the water. We’ll leave Asakusa and cruise along the river toward Odaiba. You’ll see Tokyo’s bridges, buildings, city lights and the skyline from a completely different angle. And because this is Christmas time, Tokyo should look especially beautiful. So even if you’ve visited Tokyo many times, I think this is going to feel very different from a normal tour. And of course, you guys know me… There will definitely be a lot of cameras. You’re completely welcome to take photos and videos during the tour.Food, Drinks… and Christmas Party
And this is not just a sightseeing cruise. We’re having a proper Christmas party. There will be a course dinner on board, and drinks are included. And yes… All-you-can-drink. Alcohol, soft drinks — everything is included. So we can eat, drink, talk, relax and enjoy Tokyo together. And after everybody gets comfortable… I have a feeling things might become a little more energetic. There will be music, singing, dancing and a special Christmas Show Time. So basically… Tokyo night views outside… Christmas party inside. Not bad, right? The Best Part — The People
For me, though, the most important part of these events is always the people. A lot of you have watched Japan Explorer for years from different countries around the world. Normally you’re watching Tokyo through your screen. But this time, we can actually meet each other in Tokyo, sit together, have dinner, have a drink and celebrate Christmas together. That’s what I want this event to feel like. Not some super formal guided tour. More like a big group of friends spending Christmas together in Tokyo. There will be Japanese guests, international guests, members of the Smiley Walk team and hopefully some familiar faces you’ve seen before. So even if you’re traveling alone, don’t worry about coming alone. That’s actually one of the reasons we’re doing this. Come alone, meet people and hopefully leave with some new friends.Christmas Outfit?
And guys… If you have something Christmas-themed, wear it. You definitely don’t need to come dressed as Santa Claus… although honestly, I wouldn’t complain. Maybe a Christmas sweater, Santa hat, red outfit — whatever you like. Let’s make the boat feel like Christmas.Important Information
One important thing: please don’t be late. The boat obviously cannot wait forever for one person. Meeting time is 5 PM, so I really recommend arriving a little early. And if you normally get seasick, take some motion-sickness medicine beforehand just to be safe. Also, please don’t bring your own food or drinks because everything we need will already be on board.Booking
The Christmas Boat Tour is ¥30,000 per person. That includes the four-hour experience, the boat, dinner, all-you-can-drink and the Christmas entertainment. The event is for guests 8 years old and above. And because we have to organize the boat, food and everything in advance, spaces are limited. So if you want to join us, I wouldn’t leave the booking until the last moment.Ending
I’ve done thousands of walks around Tokyo… daytime, nighttime, rain, summer, winter… but celebrating Christmas together while cruising through Tokyo at night is something completely different. So I’m really looking forward to this one. If you’re going to be in Tokyo this Christmas, come join us. Let’s eat. Let’s drink. Let’s enjoy the Tokyo night views. Maybe sing a little. Maybe dance a little. And just have a really good Christmas together. This is Smiley Walk Christmas Boat Tour 2026. I’m JE — Japan Explorer. And hopefully… I’ll see you guys on the boat. Merry Christmas, guys. 🎄🚢🇯🇵
